Atlanta, GA — April 13, 2026 — Latinas in Media Atlanta (LIMA) proudly presents

The Production Process: Paso a Paso (Step by Step), an engaging panel taking

place at the Atlanta Film Festival Creative Conference on April 30th at 11:30 AM at

Tara Atlanta (Jack Auditorium). The event will be followed by the LIMA Filmmaker

Mixer at El Ponce at 3:30 PM, bringing together filmmakers and creatives from across

communities for an afternoon of connection and collaboration.

Latinas In Media Atlanta is produced and spearheaded by Denise Santos

(Founder & Producer) and Viviana Chavez (Co-Founder & Co-Producer) who are

committed to uplifting Latine and underrepresented voices, this panel arrives at a critical

moment, when those voices are being challenged and, in many spaces, pushed aside.

Paso a Paso will guide attendees through the production process from development to

distribution, step by step, offering practical insights and real-world experience from

guest panelists and industry professionals. Confirmed guests are Marco Medina

(CEO & Distributor, Lumexx Media), Frances Acevedo (Entertainment Attorney,

Seay Firm), and Lou Simón (Award Winning Filmmaker).

“This is about creating space and sharing knowledge. Our guest panelists are

filmmakers and industry change makers who just happen to be from Latin backgrounds,”

say Santos and Chavez. “We believe in the power of community and in showing up for

each other especially now, more than ever.”

Following the panel, attendees are invited to continue the conversation and the fun at

the annual LIMA Filmmaker Mixer at El Ponce Mexican Restaurant. The gathering

promises a vibrant afternoon of connection, celebration, and community!
