I usually always have my phone on to receive business emails and the like. A few weeks ago as I worked on something, I realized that I had a new Atlanta Film and TV Instagram follower. Moments later, this same new Instagram follower took it upon themselves to email us, not reading nor researching (or asking questions of us for that matter) who we were and what it is that Atlanta Film and TV offers.
I’m just going to say it like this - never come off as desperate and wanting instantaneous fame, because it will be obvious. And, I’m sure many who work in the industry can attest BUT no matter how smart or talented you are, success will not happen overnight. You have to do your part by creating a name for yourself by building an online presence, creating a brand, and gaining experience. Yes, we can give advice and point people in the right direction in regards to their career in the entertainment industry, but also be sure to do your part by educating yourself and researching to know what it is a particular company offers, (first) before reaching out to them.
