FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
ATLANTA FILMMAKERS CELEBRATE FINAL FESTIVAL SCREENING OF
AWARD-WINNING LOVE AND TAXES AND WORLD DETOUR

ATLANTA, GA — September 29, 2026 — Atlanta filmmakers Ken Feinberg and four-time regional Emmy Award winner Craig Tollis mark two major milestones this October: the final festival screening of their award-winning romantic comedy Love and Taxes in Atlanta and the world premiere of their new short film, The 60 Year Detour, at the Tryon International Film Festival.
Love and Taxes Returns Home for Final Festival Screening
After an international festival run earning 18 awards, the 1970s-set romantic comedy Love and Taxes returns to the city where it was made for its final festival appearance.
The film screens Sunday, October 4 at 3:00 PM at The Limelight Theater as part of Atlanta’s Funny AF Film Festival.
Written by veteran Hollywood writer-producer Lloyd J. Schwartz (The Brady Bunch, Gilligan’s Island), Love and Taxes follows a CPA and a waitress whose relationship unfolds through one meeting each year — on Tax Day. Adding to the film’s distinctive style, the story was captured through a series of continuous, single-take sequences.
The film stars award-winning actors Jake Reiner and Alexis Abrams, both of whom have received multiple honors for their performances.
Among the film’s early champions was the late filmmaker Rob Reiner, who said:
“It’s so difficult to find a new way to make a romantic comedy, but they have done it.”
Atlanta comedy icon Jerry Farber also praised the film, saying,
“It reminded me of early Woody Allen movies. You know, the kind that were really funny.”
Feinberg and Tollis Reunite for The 60 Year Detour

Following Love and Taxes, Feinberg and Tollis have teamed up again for The 60 Year Detour, a new 21- minute short film written by Feinberg and starring Atlanta actor Jon Hayden.
Filmed across Italy, New Zealand, Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta, The 60 Year Detour follows a man in his 60s reflecting on the unexpected course of his life. What once appeared to be wrong turns, missed opportunities and burned bridges ultimately reveal themselves as the very path that brought him where he was meant to be.
The film will make its world premiere Saturday, October 10 at 12:00 PM at the Tryon International Film Festival in Tryon, North Carolina. Additional festival screenings are scheduled in Arizona and Oslo,Norway. Ahead of the premiere, Feinberg and Tollis will host a private, invitation-only cast and crew screening Wednesday, October 7 at Atlanta’s historic Tara Theatre.
