The Alliance Theater presents Screenwriting Virtual Workshop
This course is an exploration of the creative elements needed to write scripts for the cinema. Students will learn a step-by-step process in screenwriting creation, which includes the development of concepts, character-based outlining, drafts, and the production of realistic dialogue. Elements such as treatments, the legalities of the film business, and pitching will also be discussed. Students are encouraged to follow the timetable to have written by class’s end an outline for a full-length motion picture as various scenes.

Atlanta Metropolitan State College presents Bring Your Brilliance Short Film Festival
“Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC) is proud to announce it's 2nd annual Bring Your Brilliance Short Film Festival, October 28 - 30, 2021. Events include film screenings, workshops, an awards ceremony, panel discussions, and more-- best of all it is free to the public!
The Bring Your Brilliance Short Film Festival competition is open to all Georgia residents and has two competition tracts, high school, and general. The festival is sponsored by the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Digital Media & Entertainment Design Program, and 100 Black Men of Atlanta. Submissions are open from August 1 thru October 15, 2021. Cash prizes and awards will be given in the high school and general competitions in the categories of narrative, documentary, and microfilms.”
