Dekalb Entertainment Commission presents How to Pitch, Package & Sell Your Television & Film Project: Talks with the Atlanta Pitch Summit Panel

Join DEC and our partner’s Decatur Book Festival as we host a special panel entitled “How to Pitch, Package, and Sell Your Television and Film Project.” This will be a panel moderated by the Atlanta Pitch Summit with special guest comedian/actress Cocoa Brown. In this panel, you will learn the key tips on how to creatively package and pitch your television or film project.

Georgia Film Festival

The Georgia Film Festival is a two-day film festival hosted by the University of North Georgia on its Gainesville campus. GFF is a festival built to celebrate filmmakers & works made in the state of Georgia and in the southeast.

Filmmakers get to showcase their work and build relationships. Students who contribute to hosting the event develop a wide range of leadership and organizational skills. The Georgia Film Festival also helps to increase the visibility of the University, the Communication, Media & Journalism Department, and the Georgia film community.

The Georgia Latino Film Festival

The Georgia Latino Film Festival is celebrating its fifth year, which has quickly become the south cinematic celebration. The Georgia Latino Film Festival is one of the most diverse film festivals in the country, welcoming an audience of nearly 1,500 independent actors, producers, directors with over 30 screenings of the independent, international, animated, documentary, Virtual Reality, Music Videos, and short films, with submissions from all over the world.

Do you have a kid (ages 4 thru 16) that is interested in exploring the world of acting as a hobby or career? If so, this free 90-minute workshop is designed just for them! Expose your child/teen to the world of film/commercial acting and character voice-over with Emmy Award® winning child/teen acting coach Michelle Watson. Teaching acting to kids starts with building their self-confidence. Our classes and programs help to build self-confidence and other important skills for kids who want to explore acting either as a hobby or as a career.

Join DEC and our partners Decatur Book Festival as we host a panel discussion with Atlanta’s own Andrea Thornton Bolden, producer/writer (Nancy Drew, The Spanish Princess), Adam G Simon, actor/writer (Point Blank, Man Down, Synapse), and Sean Sorensen, producer/writer (Black and Blue, Mayhem, Worth) about the process, business opportunities, and personnel that translate books to film and television.
